Wagashi (Nerikiri) Lesson 1

When we talk about Japanese sweets (Wagashi), most people only think of Mochi. In fact, similar to Western pastry, Wagashi refers to numerous type of Japanese desserts. In this course, we are going to focus on teaching one of the Wagashi called "Nerikiri". This first lesson allows students to learn how to use simple ingredients and basic tools to re-create Nerikiri, this delicate and delicious Japanese sweet, at home.

Wagashi (Nerikiri) Lesson 2

Lesson 2 suitable for students who want to have a better understanding of Nerikiri. The class will start with teaching how to make Nerikiri from scratch, i.e. use dried white and red beans to make the paste and then turn it into Nerikiri. Moreover, more advanced shaping techniques will also be introduced
