Hosted by Blossom Cakes, this intensive two-day, in-person seminar invites aspiring PME instructors from across Asia to join us on a journey toward official PME certification. Led jointly by experienced instructors and the expert team from PME UK Headquarters, participants will showcase their skills through hands-on demonstrations and undergo a professional evaluation to meet the PME Instructor Certification standards.

• Date: 26–27 November 2025

• Time: 9:30am - 7:00pm

• Venue: Blossom Cakes, Hong Kong

• Languages: English, Cantonese, Mandarin

• Capacity: Max. 10 participants

• Format: In-person training + Online Zoom assessment and interview with the PME UK School Board

 

🧾 Eligibility

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

• Operate a PME-approved school, or

• Be recommended by a PME-approved school to become an instructor at that location

 

If your school is not yet PME-approved, you may apply for school approval and join the seminar simultaneously.

🎯 Seminar Content & Assessment Requirements

Participants will complete practical demonstrations of the following core skills, assessed by PME UK Headquarters:

• Sugar Paste Decoration

• Sugar Flower Creation

• Royal Icing & Piping Techniques

​

You will be required to complete specific decorating tasks within a time limit, demonstrating proficiency in Sugar Paste, Gum Paste, and Royal Icing, and produce a two-tier cake using PME/JEM tools.​

 

🧁 What’s Included

• All required materials, including tools from the PME Student Kit (Participants must bring any additional tools not included in the kit, especially JEM tools if needed)

• Light lunch and refreshments provided on both days

📜 Certification Process

A two-stage certification ensures quality and professionalism:

• Immediate Recognition: Receive a PME Attendance Certificate on the final day of the seminar

• Official Certification: Candidates who meet the standards set by the PME UK School Board will be awarded the PME Instructor Certificate and become certified PME teachers

📌 Pre-Seminar Preparation

• Pre-cover a 6” × 3” round dummy cake using Royal Icing

• Record the covering process and submit a video

• Video submission deadline: 15 November 2025
