In November 2026, we are thrilled to once again welcome Malaysian international royal icing master Kelvin Chua back to Hong Kong! Jointly hosted by Hong Kong New Oriental Culinary Art and Blossom Cakes, this special event features two exclusive, 2-day hands-on royal icing masterclasses.
Kelvin is world-renowned for his signature white 3D royal icing designs and his unique blend of Eastern and Western styles. He has taught extensively around the globe, and his works are known for their delicate detail, expressive artistry, and have won the admiration of royal icing enthusiasts worldwide. 🌍
Kelvin Chua is the award-winning founder of vinism sugarart based in Malaysia. He is an internationally recognized cake artist and master of royal icing and cake painting. He has won many awards and competitions and now travels worldwide to showcase his amazing skill to passionate students. Kelvin was also the winner of the Royal Icing Category in the Cake Masters Magazine Award 2018. A hugely lovable personality and one of the few male international tutors, Kelvin is very popular with Blossom Cakes’ students.
Kelvin works almost exclusively with royal icing and teaches students how to pipe in 2D and 3D decorations, create embroidery effects, stained glass effects, lace effects and many other exquisitely unique features in royal icing.

A masterclass in pure elegance and sugar engineering. You will learn how to construct a jaw-dropping, fully dimensional 3-D cuckoo clock house entirely made of royal icing. From the pristine white layered roof tiles to the breathtakingly intricate filigree lace panels and delicate winter scenes (deer, sleigh, and evergreen trees), this class focuses heavily on structural balance, precise assembly, and advanced dimensional piping techniques.
