Mito Masterclass

In January 2026, we are thrilled to welcome internationally renowned cake artist Hoang Anh Nguyen Vu, better known as Mito, to Blossom Cakes for his highly anticipated debut masterclass in Hong Kong. Stay tuned for the latest information and be open to registering.
With over 16 years of baking experience and more than a decade of teaching, Mito has become one of Asia’s most respected and beloved floral cake artists. He is the founder of Mito Sweets, with two successful cake studios located in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Mito’s journey began with a passion for floral design and a deep admiration for fine craftsmanship. Over the years, he has mastered a wide range of delicate techniques, including nondairy cream flowers, buttercream blooms, bean paste florals, fondant flowers, sugar flowers, and wafer paper petals. His signature style is elegant, refined, and deeply inspired by the natural world. Mito’s creations are not only beautiful but also technically complex, reflecting his commitment to pushing the boundaries of sugar art.
Beyond his work as an artist, Mito is also an accomplished educator and mentor. He has conducted masterclasses in over 20 countries, including Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, China, Iran, the UAE, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and now Hong Kong. His warm and detailed teaching style has earned him a loyal following of students and professionals alike who admire both his artistry and his ability to make complex techniques accessible and rewarding.
Mito’s influence extends beyond the classroom. In 2013, he was invited to be a guest judge on MasterChef Vietnam. In 2016, he served as a judge at the Cake Challenge Malaysia, followed by a judging role at the Cake Convention in Sri Lanka in 2019. In 2015, he published his first book, “Thế giới ngọt ngào”, which became a bestseller in the Vietnamese cake community. His excellence was officially recognised in 2022 when he was awarded the Buttercream Award by Cake Masters Magazine, solidifying his position as a leader in the field of cake decorating.
Mito has also collaborated with numerous prominent brands and media platforms, including Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Lazada, Vingroup, VTV, Uniqlo, Vietnam Airlines, L’Officiel Magazine, Heritage Magazine, and others. His floral cake designs have been featured in fashion campaigns, luxury events, and even film productions, demonstrating the versatility and artistic value of his sugar art.
